A hardy Hebe grown for its foliage effect, it has brown scaly leaves (-nicer than it sounds!) on short stems which form dense hummocks, height up to 30cm. In winter, the colour becomes more golden and is particularly attractive. May occasionally produced clusters of white flowers in Spring. Best grown in a sunny or lightly shaded, well-drained position. Although this Hebe is hardy it prefers a site where it is not too exposed to cold winds.

  • Has an Award of Garden Merit form the RHS for good garden worthiness
  • Evergreen
  • Good winter colour
